In a weekend of record-breaking temperatures, The Red Thistle Dancers accompanied by Red Thistle Music attended the Scottish Gathering and Games in Northern California on September 2, 2017.   The Caledonian Club of San Francisco's Scottish Highland Gathering and Games have taken place every year since 1866.

The dance program of The Red Thistle Dancers included Scottish Country Dance medleys, Scottish Ladies' Step Dance, and Highland Dancing, accompanied by Red Thistle Music.
